PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE MINISTRIES

Meals Ministry - Touch those in our church family who have experienced a birth, illness, or a death in the family by cooking or delivering meals. Call Christy at 882-2344 for more information.

Meth Recovery Ministry - Meth is the most addictive and prolific drug currently being used. Missouri has been the state with the most meth lab busts every year since 2001. Meth not only destroys the individual using it; children of meth users suffer physical and emotional trauma from living in a meth environment. Heartland provides childcare for the Meth Recovery meeting on Monday evenings at the Salvation Army (1707 W. Chestnut Expressway in Springfield). Missions Ministry - Help extend the love, comfort, and compassion of Jesus Christ by finding ways to help those in our community. Call Kent and Vicki at 833-2275 for more information.

Hurricane Recovery Ministry - Help rebuild homes for those who have suffered from the devastating storm of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Call Al at 576-3119 for more information.

Ronald McDonald House Ministry - Create menus, shop for groceries, prepare, and serve a meal on the third Friday of every month for residents staying at the house. Call Debra at 882-9305 for more information.

Outreach/Evangelism Ministry - Encourage the sharing of Christ with family, friends, and coworkers. Call Brent at 724-1794 for more information.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION MINISTRIES

Nursery - Provide care for infants during the Sunday morning service. Call Sara at 753-3590 for more information.

Preschool - Help children ages two to five learn about Jesus’ love for them. Call Christy Van Amber at 882-2344 for more information.

Children - Teachers and parent helpers for children in kindergarten through fifth grade build a foundation of Godly character in children using drama, music, and age-appropriate Bible lessons. Call Ruth at 725-2547 for more information.

Junior High - Connect students into relationships with Christ and one another. Lead a small group, create an event, and be a builder of dreams. Call Aaron at 882-2344 for more information.

WORSHIP MINISTRIES

Worship and Music Ministry - Can you sing or play a musical instrument? Come make a joyful noise unto the Lord. Call Rich at 889-6095 for more information.

Sound Booth/PowerPoint Ministry - Our production team works through the service to make sure the pastor’s message is seen and heard well. Call Megan at 863-8165 for more information.

Creative Team - This teams works with the pastor to choose creative elements including videos, drama, and music that complement and emphasize the focus of each week's sermon. The format of each meeting is like a Bible study with the purpose of seeking God's meaning in each scripture. Call The Church at 865-5556 for more information.

Drama Team - Bring the sermon alive with representative skits filled with impact. Call Terry at 886-1859 for more information.

Decorations Team - Keep the church looking “in season”. Call Margaret at 314-606-2845 for more information.

Welcome to Worship Teams - This 6-8 person team is responsible for scanning the parking lot for trash and debris before the service, setup and clean up of the Coffee Connection, greeting at the main doors (indentifying visitors), greeting and seating at the sanctuary doors (program handout and visitor helper), parking lot greeter (eventually), show visitors where the important things are (bathrooms, childcare, tour guide - that's why we have two people per station so someone can leave when needed), collect the offering and secure it, count the congregation, main door departure (saying goodbye), and cleaning the church the week they are to serve. Facility Care Ministry - Paint, build, and fix the church. Call Jack at 725-2547 for more information.

Administrative Office Support - Check mail, collect announcements,  pay bills, etc. Call The Church at 865-5556 for more information.

Capital Campaign - Help grow funds in the  capital campaign to pay off our note on the building this year. Call Aaron at 753-3590 for more information.

eBay Ministry - Donate your gently used items. This ministry team will market them and do all the work to make a sale, with proceeds going to various ministries in our church. Call Greg or Tarynn at 890-5738 or email them.

FELLOWSHIP MINISTRIES

Adult Small Groups - Real life change occurs in small groups; help host, lead, or help in a small group of your choice. Call Jeff at 863-8165 for more information.

Website Team - This team communicates Heartland's ministries and activities to potential visitors and members alike through the church's website. Promotions Team - Drawing people from the community via advertising, Internet, and newspaper ads. Call Amanda at 496-5640 for more information.
